The National Health Service is inefficient. And that’s no reflection on the hard-working people employed at the coal face; it’s more a reflection of political ineptitude. For example, at a nice, brand new health centre a patient visit on average costs £21, whereas a visit to the local A&E department cost five times that; so why not build more primary healthcare centres?
